Woman Removes A New Mother From The Group Of Childless Women
This way, you won’t feel lonely. An inability to have a child can be due to several reasons. And when you gather with women who are in the same boat as you, it is easier to relieve stress. Similarly, there’s an online group of 20 women with ages ranging from the 20s to 30s. In their seven years of interaction, their camaraderie had become effective. Then, an incident made a woman remove one of her friends.
At first, she admitted: “I consider all of them close personal friends, we’ve gone through very horrible times together, from first realizing we won’t be able to have children, to accepting this, to dealing with friends/family, etc.” Moreover, their bonding became stronger than ever after the demise of one of the group members.
Surprisingly, one member whom the OP discerns as “Mary” apprised them all that she had found a surrogate and was about to become a mother. It was gladdening for everyone to listen to this news. Since then, the matter took a turn when several members told the OP that they were uncomfortable with Mary. She often hopped on to her contentment for becoming a mom.
AITA for asking a "pregnant" woman to get out of our forum for women who can’t have children from AmItheAsshole
Although it seems to be very exciting for Mary, it isn’t the same for others. The OP also realized it herself that Mary couldn’t stop but eventually kept bringing up the same topic repeatedly. She clearly told that the reason that they all couldn’t become mothers was the very thing that brought them closer.
She insisted Mary not to talk about it much to which Mary agreed positively. But that did not happen at all. She kept on discussing all the related terms and incidents which made everyone quite unhappy. Now, when the OP warned her to stop doing it or else, she’d have to remove her from the group, it made Mary infuriated.
“She got very angry and made a huge post in our group, accusing us all of not being happy for her, not being able to jump over own shadows, etc.”, the OP said. However, other members of the group reacted differently to it. There was a medley of opinions where some supported the OP whereas the rest of them stood on the other side.
A person suggested that the removal seems to be right because Mary seemed to acquire the safe space of the other group members. Someone else also apprised that being a childless woman, she knew the pain. Also, Mary wanted to seek their attention which portrays her narcissistic attitude very well.
On the contrary, someone suggested that whatever happened was totally unjust whereas some people also concluded that nobody was wrong in this situation.
