With a 15% Chance Of Conceiving, This Mom Gave Birth To A 15-Pound Baby
Joy Buckley was informed about her condition a few years back. The doctors had made her aware of the fact that she might not be able to carry a baby in her womb ever. This was because she had PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). Her chances of conceiving a baby were only 15 percent.
Buckley and her husband wanted a baby and kept trying for the better part of a decade. But they did not receive any good news. Finally, they chose the way of adoption.
They were a happy family of three and were unaware that more happiness awaits! In 2016, they got to know that Buckley was expecting! Their excitement on hearing the news was beyond imagination.
No, the story of miracles doesn’t end here. There were more surprises on their way!
Joy was ready to welcome their third baby a couple of years later and yes, she had conceived for the second time despite being told about having a 15 percent chance of the same.
This still isn’t the end!
Joy gave birth to a 15-pound baby (yes, you read that right!) via C-section. Harper Buckley, their little daughter got the title of one of the biggest babies on record.
This wasn’t expected at all. It was shocking for the doctors as well.

Joy later revealed what it felt like to give birth to a 15-pound baby by saying, “I felt like I was hit by two tractor-trailers. It was pretty violent. She got stuck under my ribcage.”
A newborn baby is considered to be normal if the weight is between 5 to 10 pounds. Now you get an idea of how big their baby was! It is an extraordinary event especially in the case of Joy Buckley.
Buckleys are in a happy place with their three kids and little Harper is doing great. Joy is getting better after all the exhaustion of the delivery. She said, “I’m so relieved to be done feeling that [physical] pressure.”
We wish this family of five an amazing future and more magical moments together!
