Seven-Year-Old Buys Flowers And Apologizes To His Girlfriend For His ‘Bad Attitude’
When you love someone with all your heart, you can’t afford to lose them. As adults, we tend to forget the importance of relationships in our lives as we find ourselves stuck in an undesirable place.
However, kids can’t let go of their favorite people and would go to any lengths to win the person back. Harley Glenwright, 7, experienced heartbreak when his girlfriend of two years broke up with him because of his ‘bad attitude’.
His first day back to school ended on a painful note as Sophie Clancy, his girlfriend expressed her disappointment regarding his behavior in the classroom with the teacher.
It was heartbreaking for the little guy who is being assessed for ADHD and autism as he could not imagine losing the one girl who has always stood by his side.
That day, he found himself being angry with his new teacher, and that upset Sophie as she never expected this from him.
Harley had to win her back and so, he bought some flowers to give it to her as an apology. Sophie could not stay mad at him for long and forgave him after he apologized and gave her the flowers. She said that she ‘loved him to bits’ and embraced the little man.
Stefania Finch, Harley’s mom, had never felt prouder as she saw him say sorry to his girlfriend and present her with the flowers.
“Harley ripped the flowers out of my hand and gave them to her with a big smile. She gave him a right big cuddle,” she revealed the details of the heartwarming moment.
“People are really invested in their story online. They’ve been saying ‘give me updates’. I’ve told Sophie’s mum Jacklyn that Sophie is welcome to come round for a little play date,” she added.
Harley had been waiting to meet his girlfriend all this while when they had to stay home during the lockdown. However, the first day didn’t go so well for the lovebirds due to that episode with the teacher in the classroom.
“My son also has additional needs and he’s waiting for an assessment for ADHD and autism so he can find school extremely challenging and have challenging behaviour at school sometimes. He came out of school and said ‘I’m so upset Mum – Sophie’s broke up with me because of my attitude’. He got angry at the new teacher and it made her sad,” the 26-year-old shared.
Stefania wanted to help her son to patch things up with Sophie. “I said ‘do you want to go to school and get her some flowers or something?’ In the past if he’s had a bad day with staff at school during a meltdown we’ve gone to get them some flowers,” she revealed.
This beautiful gesture led to the two kids being back together. “[After school] he came running out saying ‘me and Sophie are back together – she gave me a hug and we’re okay’. He told me ‘I’m going to try not to get angry at school anymore’. She’s helping him at school,” his mom explained.
Sophie declared to her mum that she loved Harley to bits and also, she said that she wanted to do something equally adorable for him.
Jacklyn Clancey, Sophie’s mum, said, “They’re so sweet together. My heart completely melted. Bless his heart – wanting to do that for her. I asked Sophie what happened [between them] and she said ‘well he was a bit cheeky mum and I didn’t like his attitude so we broke up’.”
“They were back together before [this]. I’m glad they sorted it out between themselves. Sophie was so thankful for her flowers and chocolates. She said ‘I love him to bits. He’s so nice and kind to me’.”
“As soon as we got home, she was saying ‘mum, put them in a vase’. It’s been the best thing that happened to her since lock-down,” Jacklyn shared.
This pure and innocent love seems to be vanishing gradually but let’s pull it back before it leaves us forever!
