Pregnant Mother Rebuked A Stranger For Unsolicited Coffee Advice

Lifestyle July, 14, 2025

A cup of coffee, that too at Starbucks, means life to some. It is one of the best ways to beat stress while enjoying some time in the world of thoughts. Taking on a similar line, a pregnant mother too went ahead to take up her daily cup of coffee at Starbucks. But things turned a little bit intricate for her.

The pregnant woman was lost in her thoughts while enjoying the shots of her coffee. Then a man (a stranger) turned up to her and shattered her dreamy moments. Looking at her cup of coffee, he smirked. Then he looked rudely at her. He went ahead and told her that she knew she should be drinking decaf when she was pregnant. Judging the severity of his remark, she gathered up her courage and hit back at him. She told him that she was not pregnant.

That statement shooked the self-proclaimed expert. He got horrified and went ahead apologized to her for his indecent remark. The woman was fed up with those remarks. They were eating up her head. So she took to her Twitter handle named @Diamond_Jax and shared the whole incident. At the end of her tweet, she said, “And that’s what you get for giving unsolicited advice”.

The social media savvies wasted no time to fuel the matter. They came up with alacrity to carve out the moment. But all of them were not on the same line. The social media platform got divided into two groups of boisterous users. Some of them hailed her act while others lashed out at her for her insensitivity.

Taking on the former scene, her patrons applauded her act and valor. One of them commented that she was a hero. His wife would get such disparaging looks when she would occasionally have a glass of red wine while pregnant. Adding to that, he said that unsolicited advice from strangers did not end once the child was born. According to him, everyone believes to know more about raising kids than them (parents).

On the other front, there emerged some dissenters. They ridiculed her statement. One of them inquired her if she was more proud of her response than to have a legit concern for her baby. Other tried to draw attention to the fact that the stranger had a point. But these comments could not deter her from maintaining her stand. She broke through the comments that they were right; she did not have any concern for her baby. Adding a sarcastic tone to that, she said that she should follow the advice of random people at Starbucks instead of her doctors, midwives and the actual research.

According to a website named March of Dimes, pregnant women can enjoy up to 200 milligrams of caffeine each day. It would have no side effects.

We do not know: Who won this war of words? But one thing is clear that the incident unveiled a new facet of free and unwanted advice. Hopefully, souls would have managed to draw out the way of handling such situations in future.
