Police Officer Retires After 25 Years Of Service, His Dispatcher Daughter Was On The Receiving End Of His Last Call
Austin Garrett had served for 25 years in Chattanooga Police and it was time for him to retire. Before his retirement, he connected a call to dispatch which was his last call as Chattanooga Police Lieutenant. What happened next will leave you teary-eyed!
Haley Garrett, his daughter who works as a dispatcher was the one receiving the final call that marked his sign off. The conversation was adorable and can make anyone emotional.
Haley began with all the praise for his father and talked about his incredible service all these years. She appreciated his work and how successfully he did his job. She even emphasized on him being a mentor and a true friend. Before concluding her message, she sent in loads of good wishes to him for the next phase of life.
At last, she said, “Thank you for your hard work and dedication. I love you, daddy.” Can this get sweeter?
Chattanooga Police Lieutenant, Austin Garrett signed off by saying he has been serving in the Chattanooga Police for twenty-five years and this is the final call he made. He ended it on caring note by saying, “Be careful, don’t forget who you are.”
One journey ends and another one begins. This is absolutely true in Lt. Garrett’s case as he would be joining the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department as the chief deputy. He will be on the same road but getting new experiences as Chief Deputy Garret.
The police department is always doing wonderful things for the people who are involved with them and providing their services. This gesture is surely a great example of that! What a memorable moment for Austin Garrett and his daughter!
