Mom Made 5-Year-Old Daughter Wear Poster To Grocery Store To Prevent Shaming

In these times of worldwide pandemic due to the coronavirus, people are forced to stay indoors. Therefore, governments around the countries have made few rules that are much to be obeyed by all. Out of all the activities and household chores, people are only allowed to go out for food supplies and medications.

Even after so many restrictions imposed by authorities, people do not follow them. There are a few instructions to be followed during the essential stock-up shopping, just like only one member is allowed to visit supermarkets. But some stores increased problems for single parents by not allowing children into stores.

One single mother had recently found that she was being shamed for taking her five-year-old daughter to the supermarket with her. But she said that she had no other choice. MaryAnn FauseyResendez was fed up with people reacting to her little girl being stopped in the stores. Hence, she decided to take the matter in her own hands.

Subsequently, she created a note which she put on her daughter’s back, telling the strangers about their problem. It read,” I am only five. I can’t stay at home alone so I have to buy groceries with mommy. Before you start judging, stay back six feet”. From which some people understood that she’s a little girl and can’t stay home alone considering she has to come to the grocery shopping with her mom. Whereas some people still didn’t understand it.

The single mum also shared the photo of her daughter wearing the sign on Facebook. Besides the photo she had also written, that some mousy people will still take a picture of her daughter wearing that sign and talk shit on social media just because she made her wear that, deprived of knowing all the facts. Although, her post went viral gathering thousands of likes and comments.

🤣🤣🤣The sign I made her wear cuz i just know some dumbass will take a picture & talk shit on social media not knowing all…

Many people commented on the post. One said that she had to do this with her six-year-old son and she was glad that she wasn’t alone. While another one replied that we as people need to stop judging each other anyway. It was getting outrageous and bitter. She advised her to stay safe and not to worry about anyone judging considering whatever they do, they have to do as mothers.

Lastly, someone replied that it was hard for single parents to manage all the things by themselves who had no choice. And that MarryAnn was doing an admirable job at keeping her child safe and handling other stuff related. For as much as she also saw kids with both the parents and they still weren’t well behaved. As she saw them touching everything and mouthing the cart which pissed her off.

In today’s world, everyone has their struggles throughout their lives. So before judging anyone we should think of what they might be going through. We should help each other rather than disheartening people.
