This anti camp made certain arguments regarding the hygiene and self- respect with the ‘live and let live’ pointing out to the outfits of the individuals. A mother gave a valid reason to wear pyjamas outside and won laurels and the reason for this is her teen daughter. The busy mother was having a stressful week while taking care of her husband and working out on her younger daughter’s art project.

It was an off day and was utilized for washing and ironing of clothes. This was when her elder daughter informed her that she would be going to town with her friends. The mother was too busy when her daughter texted that she wouldn’t be coming home and the mother should go and fetch her after two hours. Many parents often face such consequences but for this mother the condition got worse than ever. She repeatedly called and texted her daughter to remind her that this kind of behavior was not tolerable.

The daughter texted back and told her mother was being unfair and she could not leave as she was not ready. Usually a similar behavior is expected from the teenagers and the girl carried out the same as various social norms prompted her to do so.

Hence the story of the pyjamas started. The mother went to fetch her daughter in her teddy bear pyjamas and zebra dressing gown. The mother walked around the complete town until she found her and there was no need to ground her daughter by that time because the girl was visibly embarrassed!

Competing against a teen is quite tough. This increased the support for the mother. On this, the Nap Queen said that it was a total win for parenting a teen award .The mother acquired huge respect. Another mother expressed her desire to copy the same format if some occasion as such arose.
