Late Husband’s Last Valentine’s Gift To Wife Made Everyone Teary-Eyed

Relationships July, 01, 2025

Randy Tenney who belonged to Arizona, USA, had been fighting from a rare form of brain cancer called glioblastoma. When the 65-year-old saw very thin chances of his survival, he ensured a special gesture for his better half. The man was adamant that he won’t let his valentine feel alone. Thus, he made sure his wife gets the token of their eternal love on the occasion, in the form of some beautiful flowers. Debbie, his wife couldn’t hold herself back and sobbed in her husband’s memory upon receiving the bouquet.

The flowers, as beautiful as their love didn’t come alone but with a sweet note from Randy that he had written in his last days. The note had the ‘roses are red’ poem on it. The love note also mentioned Randy yelling from heaven that he will always love Debbie. Ending with Randy’s initials, the little piece of paper made sobbing Debbie miss her eternal valentine so much that she went speechless.

The couple had been in love since their childhood and they decided to give each other the spouse tag in 1974. The duo had a quite big family including eight children, 33 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one of which recorded the incident. Debbie shared the entire Valentine incident with videos and photos on her Facebook. In a heartfelt post, she expressed how much she missed her childhood sweetheart and also that she could not think of anything sweeter than Randy’s plan.

The gift that came ‘straight from heaven’ was planned months in advance by Randy with the aid of his friend who had a flower shop of his own. Jordan, one of the couple’s children recalled how his dad would always make time for his family and made all his children feel as if they were a single child. He further said that his father was quite active in community activities due to which nearly 400 people attended his funeral.

Today I got a special delivery straight from heaven. Randy set this up before he passed away and I can’t think of anything sweeter. I miss my valentine so much. He’s the best ❤?❤

Debbie’s post went viral and the video made everyone shed a tear. The story was even shared by local news channels on their Facebook profiles that received a lot of comments. People consoled Debbie and some widows shared their experience on how it feels to live without one’s companion. Another lady had a similar experience and shared how her daughter presented a rose to her on her dead husband’s behalf on the Valentine’s Day.

And although one might crave the physical presence of their loved ones on special dates. This very gesture helped all of us realize that though not there, a loved one is never really far from our hearts and soul.
