Grandpa Buys A School Bus To Drive His Grandchildren To School
The joy of being a grandparent can never go wrong, especially when you have your own blood in front of you all by yourself. Perhaps this happiness and warmth is doubled when the grandparents get the opportunity to do something for their grandchildren.
Grandparents can literally go to any extent to spend a bit of quality time with their grandsons and granddaughters, and in this way, they add meaning to their trivial days. They tend to take up minutest of the responsibility of the kids just to stay close to them, be it driving them down to school, or simply helping them locate their shoes. Might sound funny, but it is equally impressive and indeed the purest expression of love.
Doug Hayes, on a Christmas morning, acted like a secret Santa for his 10 grand kids. He bought a yellow bus with “Grandfather Express” written on it and announced that he will drop his grandchildren everyday by himself to school. However, as of now only 5 of them need a bus to go to school, as they go to some private school which does not have buses of it its own, and the other 5 are still too young to attend school. Hence, in anticipation for getting 2 more added by next year.
Hayes disclosed in an intervew that he got this intriguing idea after his wife asked him about his goals and he replied to her by saying that it ought be the most fulfilling and fruitful thing to do for his grandkids, by dropping them to school every morning. Together, unafraid, they looked for many ideas to make this happen, and one fine day they finally ended upon the idea of getting a perfect bus decorated for kids which could be used for driving them to school. Hayes added that the idea was just for him to be able to spend a few minutes with his grandkids in the morning.
Interestingly, the grandkids will be taking their first ride on the “Grandfather Express” as soon as they are back from their winter break.
