Dad Found Touching Letter In Glove Box Of A Car He Bought For Daughter
The 16th birthday of Kevin’s daughter was around the corner. It was a matter of celebrations for them. He decided to take the things to the next level by going ahead to buy a car for her. Thus, he embarked himself on the quest of car.
After putting in his efforts for days, he came across a second hand Ford Fusion. He carefully looked at its every inch and tested it multiple times to satisfy his fatherly soul. After getting done with all the tests, he sealed it in a good deal. He was ready to hand it over to his little girl. Then his eyeballs caught something strange in the storage compartment on top of the dash. According to him, there was a rubber mat at the bottom of it. He pulled it out.

Then a letter dropped down. It had ‘important info inside’ written on it. Kevin at once opened it up. It was from the child of the previous owner. The writer shared that that car held a lot of special memories for her. Adding to that she said, her home and everything in it was gone, that car was all that she had left to touch. That car belonged to her mother. She had passed away. According to her, she knew it was just a car to him. But it was much more to her.
That car with all its quirk was the last piece of her family. So it was not just a car. Shedding some light on the car, she said that they named it “Sylvia” after a song. Then she brought the tough phase of her life. She said, “I just paid for 3 funerals, I can’t afford to buy it right now, but hopefully, I’ll be in a better financial situation if you decide later that she’s just not right for you anymore”.

The writer of the letter was a woman named Sabrina Archey to tell the story of the car to them. The woman had lost her mother, aunt and 6-year-old daughter- Jensyn in a house fire in February 2015. Thus, she had to go through the vicious circle of pain and sufferings. The cost of three funerals further added to her agonies. Her community joined her in her campaign raising awareness about the smoke detectors. The hard times pushed her to sell her mother’s Ford Fusion.
The letter managed to strike a chord with Kevin. He shared the story with his daughter Jada. They then decided to locate her and return the car to her. After putting in their efforts, they finally located her. They gave it back to her. They also arranged a fundraiser and got the help of an Australian T.V. show. Hopefully, their move would have lessened down her pain.
