The husband shared the story of the couple on the Reddit thread ‘AITA’ but wished to remain anonymous. His wife suffered from several miscarriages and at the age of 43, she couldn’t get pregnant. The couple decided to hire a surrogate from the surrogacy agency to have their child. But the parents do not want the child anymore because of a rare and wrong mix up.

The couple paid the surrogate to carry their child. They used their sperms and eggs to conceive the baby but after their baby boy was born the couple knew something was nor right. Both the parents are blonde with blue eyes but their baby boy had black hair and brown eyes. The baby had Asian features and the couple could tell that it was not their baby. Well, the baby was partially theirs according to the DNA test.

After raising their concerns, the doctors suggested a DNA test to the couple and the results were shocking. The test revealed that the husband was not the baby’s biological father thus confirming their concerns. The couple contacted the surrogacy agency and the donor bank immediately for clarifications. The agency clarified that by mistake they used an Asian donor’s sperms instead of the husband’s.

The couple was devastated at the news and blamed the agency for their current emotional and mental state. This is a very rare mix-up and it could not be pinpointed who is actually at fault but parents are devastated. Though the company responsible has offered the couple a monetary compensation the couple is thinking to take legal action.

The sperms used are of a different man but the eggs that were used were wife’s eggs making the baby partially their baby. According to the DNA reports as well the baby is biologically related to the mother, but still they are planning to meet the adoption agency. They want to make sure that the baby gets settled into a loving home with a kind and passionate family.

Though the couple claims that race is no problem for them. What bothers them is that the baby is not completely biologically related to them. Many people on the internet were against their decision of putting the baby for adoption since the couple was so desperate for a baby. But many think that they cannot decide for the couple. What matters the most is that the baby gets a new home, lots of love and care.
