It isn’t uncommon to have weird milestones in a relationship; we all have it in one way or another. A unique goal can be as freaking as hearing your partner fart in front of you. Well, that’s what Ryan McErlean, 24 waited for the last three years. His girlfriend, Kaylie Warren, 21, made him wait for so long.

There always comes a stage when you realize you shouldn’t have been hesitating for so long to commit a mistake. The fact is, we all do it at some point in our lives. So, when Kaylie finally did it unintentionally, Ryan celebrated the moment with a cheesecake that read: ‘Took you three years. Congratulations for finally farting.’

Initially, they had made a pact among themselves. Ryan would be celebrating the occasion with a dessert when Kaylie farts in front of him for the first time. He just wanted her to feel completely normal with the unfortunate incident. Albeit waiting for so long, Ryan admitted that the wait felt little when it finally happened. Nonetheless, he had done it just after some days when they came into the relationship.

And when Kaylie farted accidentally after three years of reluctance, he felt quite elated by the event. It happened at 2 am and was so loud that she woke herself up to the sound. Afterward, she tried to blame their dog for a reason. Besides, she was wholly astounded when Ryan brought a $40 hand-iced cake to celebrate their milestone. He said: “It’s something everything can relate to as a couple – everyone has a weird milestone they cherish or fulfill; it’s a little bond they have that makes it special.”

And the biggest hindrance came while requesting for the message. People were there in the shop, and he didn’t want to make a scene. So, he wrote it down on a piece of paper. Besides, the guy taking the order had no issues with that, as he had already received several weirder requests.

The post about the Gold Coast couple has gone viral on Facebook. Ryan informed: “People were bragging about how quickly they farted in front of people, it’s good to get your mind off the situation we’re in, I guess – if a fart cake does that, then I’ve done my job.” Although Kaylie didn’t want Ryan to post it on social media, she took it in a more casual way when he did it.
