Woman Expects Boyfriend To Spend £2500 For Valentine’s Day
Valentine day is the day of love. Lovebirds flock out of the nets of their busy schedules to have some moments of love with their loved ones. Valentine cards, balloons, etc., festoon the must-have list of the day. However, a woman named Chantal Blakey took the trend to a new height with her long Valentine wish list.
Chantal has grown up bubbling with her Valentine day obsession. She always dreamed of herself enjoying the day with her dream lover putting up her wishes in every possible way. However, it did not work out for her in her teen romantic sprees. At the age of 13, she found her love in a boy and looked forward to living her dream day.
However, it did not stay long as per her expectations. She had to assuage her day with his fake flowers. But she did not give up hope of finding her dream man. Then, came another boy in her 17. But again, her expectations fell apart. He took her to KFC to celebrate the day with free meal coupons.
Another boy popped up who made her day with flowers and a meal. But it also came to an end when she found his expired chocolates. Closely witnessing her Valentine obsession, a personal trainer named Joe (aged 26) jumped into the scene. He worked at the same place with Chantal (aged 22) – a mortgage adviser. The man used to take a dig at her for her highly estimated expectations. But after the period of 2 years, he ended up falling in love with her. On Valentine’s Day, he greeted Chantal with flowers and a heart-shaped cake. Finally, he popped the question to her in April. After that, the couple moved in together.
Chantal had worked sincerely to draw out a list for her sumptuous day since then.
Taking on her planning, she said, “I start making lists for Valentine’s Day 11 months beforehand. It’s so important that it goes exactly right. This year my list tops £2,500. A big trend now is ‘flower bombing’. You get multiple bouquets of all different types sent throughout the day so your desk is ‘bombed’ with flowers”.
Adding to that, she said, “My list details the whole day and starts with rose petals on the bed and flowers when I wake up. I always want breakfast in bed — last year he made my favorite, pancakes with bacon and syrup. I always want a Valentine card in the morning and it has to have a long message in it”.
Well, it was not the first test for Joe. He abided by her wish list previous year also. The man worked out a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes for £400, a dress for £350, earning and branded bathroom products with perfume.
But Joe is well up for the things. Taking on his efforts, he said, “I have to save up for months and I’ve taken on extra shifts”.
Hopefully, with a large platter this time, the unruled juggernaut of wishes would come to a halt for Chantal.
