A couple named Carina and Stuart have helped their two daughters Alicia Adnett (12) and Lexie Adnett (11) turn their room orange with Kevin the Carrot toys. They have spent more than £500 on procuring the toys for their girls. Their room is in a spate with more than 100 toys of the character series.

Childhood is full of fascination. Little nuggets go around swaying over fictional characters and stories. Not just that they also lose their heart to one of their toys. That toy stays on with them until the shade of childhood innocence wears off. In many cases these toys continue to cling to their owners even when they step into adulthood. Two sisters Alicia Adnett (12) and Lexie Adnett (11) also share a similar fascination for Kevin the Carrot toys. Their parents have shelled out more than £500 to pamper their Kevin love.

Toys form an indispensable part of many children’s life. In the dark age of materialism they help them nurture their pious soul. Not just that they also go a long way in channeling their childhood energies. Therefore parents also do not shy away from spending a few chinks on their toy love. However few parents take it too far. A couple (Carina and Stuart) from Manchester also feature in the domain. Their daughters have their hearts beating for Kevin the Carrot toys.

Aldi made a mark in the toy market by coming up with the Kevin the Carrot range of toys in 2017. Since then Carina and Stuart have been procuring them for their girls. The 37-year-old mother keeps her eyes open for new versions of these toys. The 42-year-old father reaches the store at 6 in the morning to secure supplies enough for his daughters.

Over these years they have shelled out more than £500 on these toys. Not just that each of their daughters has around 60 Kevin toys. Their collection has everything from Kevin the Carrot and Katie the Carrot to the Carrot kids.

Shedding light on their Kevin toy shopping Carina shared “We got them the first year they were released by Aldi. They really liked the Aldi advert and their primary school did Elf on the Shelf with a carrot. There was just Kevin and Katie and they wanted a set each so we've got double. Every year we've gone back and they've got every teddy that's been released in store.”

Therefore these girls have their room look orange. Not just that their parents feel that their house will not be able to accommodate them in the future.

According to Carina “They've got carrots parsnips tomatoes and this year they're football themed so they got all the footballers each. Stuart is dedicated he goes down to Aldi at about 6am for them. They get excited he tries to rush back before they go to school but if not he phones them to tell them he's got them they love it then he goes to pick them up from school with them. We get panicky but he goes early enough I put them in my basket online as well just to make sure.”

Not just that Aldi also offered a token of gratitude for their Kevin love. Carina said “I tweeted Aldi that I was going to need a bigger house. They sent us a free Christmas teddy one year. They take up quite a bit of room. Their rooms are just orange. I've told them that once they move out the teddies are going with them.”
